Supplies

Today me and my group began to decide on what we will need to shoot our film. The main setting of our film is backstage a film set where the main character breaks the fourth wall realizing where and what he's doing. With this being said we needed to acquire film equipment to not only record but to use as props in our film. The first thing we were thinking to get was a green screen. The green screen would be used as a disruption in the film where we will have it start glitching as we have the main character realize he is acting in a sitcom which was told to be his real life. Next we had to find lighting. For lighting the main purpose is to focus it on the fake 90's sitcom. In these sitcoms there are high contrasts with very saturated images. To achieve these semantic codes we are going to use ring lights with yellow panels to portray the warm look on the image.

As an editor it's going to be my job to add vintage effects onto the video to add to the 90's aesthetic. Lately I've been looking for Final Cut Pro editing packs on the internet to make this effect happen and I was able to download a few luts, effects and transitions. After reviewing the downloads I've learned new editing techniques such as how to include technical codes. Adding motion blur during scenes can add dynamic excitement to a subject.  Luts on the other hand, can remap an images value by stylizing the color scheme to achieve a desired look.
